This month I would like to talk about a couple of very successful IT consulting projects that Analytics Computers completed for two of our clients in July 2014.

One of our long-term managed IT services clients decided to move its office space to another location in Lakewood, Colorado. Rather than attempt what can be a very complex endeavor, the owner contacted us for help with the transition. At the new office, our objective was to run 22 network runs with two cat5e cables to each location, totaling 44 runs.

The cabling was pulled in, terminated, tested, inspected, and ready for the move ahead of schedule and on budget. This is the most proactive way to handle an office move and ensure a limited amount of downtime.

We migrated another IT support services client from Microsoft Exchange 2007 running on Windows Server 2003 R2 to a new server running Server 2012 R2 and Microsoft Exchange 2012. Again, we took a proactive approach to this project. All the systems were prepped and ready for the migration on a Friday night. Our team then put in the weekend hours to perform the server migration over Saturday and Sunday.

When the employees showed up Monday morning, it was business as usual. This IT server migration project went completely as planned and was seamless to the end user. To boot, the IT coordinator who handles most of the client’s on-site IT support was headache-free that Monday morning.
