Windows 10 is Coming
Windows 10 will be available on July 29, 2015 for download and installation. There is a new icon on most Windows installations where you can reserve a copy (see below). Clicking the icon will take you through the steps to register your copy. You will need to register with your email address, and when it is available, it will download and notify you for installation.

Windows 10 is a free upgrade within the first year of release for users on existing Windows 7, Windows 8.1, and Windows Phone 8.1 devices. Some editions are excluded from the free upgrade. These editions include Windows 7 Enterprise, Windows 8/8.1 Enterprise, and Windows RT/RT 8.1.
Windows 10 looks more like “Windows” than its Windows 8 predecessor, but it isn’t a full relapse to Windows 7. The new version of Windows has a modern, updated look. Fortunately, the functionality and everyday tasks are still accomplished the same way, so there will be a minimal learning curve. This will allow for businesses to take on the upgrade and have minimal downtime.
New universal applications will ship with Windows 10, offering innovative new experience applications consistent across the device continuum for Photos, Videos, Music, Maps, People & Messaging, and Mail & Calendar. These built-in apps have an updated design that look and feel the same from app to app and device to device. Content is stored and synced through OneDrive, enabling you to start something on one device and continue it on another.
On 2in1 devices such as tablets, Windows 10 will move easily between keyboard/mouse and touch/tablet as it detects the transition and conveniently switches to the new mode.
The start menu has also returned with added functionality of tile apps and web search functionality without a browser. Icons can be customized and sized to suite your needs.
Windows 10 will bring more features to your existing device (see below):
Personal Assistant – Cortana
New web browser – Microsoft Edge or “Project Spartan”
Xbox and Xbox Live Integration – Allows for cross platform gameplay and sharing
